I wrote “Call Me” (link in bio) for my Aunt Yvonne, my dads older sister. She passed away two years ago today. The loss was so sudden for our family and only two years after my father also moved on. For the longest time I couldn’t sing this song without crying. Now, I hold back the tears and turn it into thankfulness.
Through it all, God has continued to show his mercy and grace. The reason I continue to sing is because of Jesus and the love he has for me and all of us. My Aunt had the biggest heart and I’ve seen how God has placed the passions and desires of her heart in mine.
“...The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” Galatians 5:6
Growing older I’m learning so much more about Gods timing and time itself. Two different things. Our time has our wants and our goals, God’s timing holds the desires of our hearts. Both will be fulfilled, you only have to let go and let God. An active way to practice letting go and letting God work is to pay careful attention to your day. Within those moments of strength and weakness you can see Him work.
Sharing this because I love you and I don’t know which one of you out there needed to hear it. #beblessed ... See MoreSee Less
